Meal Plan Options
Welcome Students!
University of New Haven dining is pleased to offer you the following meal plans for the 2022-2023 school year. Our plans include Dining Dollars that can be used at our retail locations and convenience store to make purchases. Almost all meal plans include birthday cupcakes on your birthday, as well as two weekly swipes to use at food trucks.

Signing Up for a Meal Plan
Meal plans are available to all students, except freshman year students. (Charger Pride is required for all freshman first-year students who live on campus)
Students who live on campus can choose from Charger Pride, Charger Gold, Charger Blue, or the Senior Plan. Students can sign up or change their meal plan via myHousing during the room selection process. Students have a one-week grace period at the start of each semester to login and change their plan one time. For more information about dining options, please contact the Office of Residential Life at ResLife@newhaven.edu.
Students who live off Campus can sign up for any of the meal plans listed on this page byclicking here. Please allow 24 hours for the plan to be added to your Charger Card. The charge for the plan will be added to your student account prior to the next billing date, those who do elect to purchase a meal plan must re-enroll for each semester that they want a meal plan. Meal Equivalency
With Meal Equivalency, you can use a swipe from your meal plan to obtain a credited dollar amount towards your meal purchase during specific time periods (There are different hours during which meal equivalency swipes are accepted at different locations) .If the total meal price exceeds the credited equivalency, any available Dining Dollars can be used to pay the difference, if Dining Dollars are unavailable, you may pay with cash, credit, or debit to cover the remaining balance.

Food Truck Swipes
A meal plan includes two food truck swipes per week and an additional $50 dining plus dollars that you can use at food trucks throughout the semester. You can always check your food truck swipe balance by using the transact E accounts app. Your food truck swipes start on a Friday and end on a Thursday.
At Moe's/WOW, there are special lunch food truck menus you can purchase with your weekly food truck swipes.
Monday through Friday, from 11am to 3:00pm, order a combo meal between Moe's and WoW and pay with your food truck swipes. Pick up or dine in with Grubhub.
* Additions are not allowed, dining dollars cannot be used for the Food Truck Exchange menu, and delivery is not available.
