$100 of Dining Dollars remaining at the end of the fall semester will transfer over to the spring semester. Any Dining Dollars at the end of the academic year will be forfeited.

How do I sign up for or change a meal plan?

If you need to purchase a meal plan, or would like to make changes to the plan you have already selected, simply contact the Office of Residential Life located in Bixler Hall, at 203-932-7076. Students may request a change to their meal plans during the first two weeks of the semester.

How fresh is the food?

All food is prepared fresh daily. Fruit and vegetables are brought in fresh each day. All grab 'n go sandwiches, salads, & fruit cups are made fresh each day and only have a 24 hour shelf life. Most of the baked goods offered at our dining locations are baked fresh daily.

How does the menu work?

Sodexo Campus Dining Services follows a national menu, which is on a four week cycle. Here at the University of New Haven, we make changes to the national menu in order to accommodate the needs and requests of students, faculty, and staff. Please let us know if there are menu items you would like served in addition, or in place of, the national menu. Our Executive Chefs do their best to compose menus that will satisfy all of our dining guests.

Can I use Charger Cash?

Yes, all dining locations accept Dining Dollars, Charger Cash, credit cards, and cash.

What if I have a special dietary need or I am on a medically restricted diet?

Please email our Executive Chef with your concerns. Let Chef Melissa know whether you would like to set up an appointment to meet with her to discuss your dietary needs.

What kind of options do vegetarians and vegans have?

During lunch and dinner, we offer meals for both vegans and vegetarians. The salad bar allows guests to create their own salad with the vegetable and tofu toppings. The Hometown stations always have two options for vegetables and starch. Vegetarian pizzas and veggie burgers are always available at the Marketplace. All of our retail locations offer vegan and vegetarian options as well.
